First FSF Certified Device that Respects your Freedom

Earlier this year, the Free Software Foundation announced a hardware endorsement campaign for hardware that respects the rights of its owner (no DRM, runs Free Software, support for open formats, no or freely licensed patents, etc.). Now, they've announced that the Lulzbot AO-100 3D Printer is the first device to pass certification and be endorsed by the FSF.

I look forward to more devices with the FSF seal of approval.

:) It's been slow although the FSF is working with companies like mine (ThinkPenguin) and others as is seen in this announcement. We're working on a USB N adapter which will be worthy (not that all of our other products aren't) of such certification. I'm sure we will eventually get all the officialism for everything. I've just been holding off continuing on it until the new N USB adapter is ready (still many months away).
