Trisquel 7, can't login after two successful logins

I've recently installed Trisquel 7 and after two succesful logins and sessions I can't login anymore from the graphical interface. I installed trisquel formattin the / partition but leaving my previous /home partition intact, although I had to encrypt this latter one because I couldn't change that option during graphical installation.
I can login from tty* command line and everything is ok there. Although bash says command startx is not found.
I've created a new user with which I can login both from gui and cli, but my user keeps unable to login.
Any advise?
Thank you.
If you use some other keyboard layout than en-US this might help
First time I heard of such a problem. There may be something interesting to read (with administrative privileges or from a live system) in /var/log/lightdm/lightdm.log (I assume here you use Trisquel's default graphical display manager).

Yes, I use its default manager. I suspect it has to do with the /home encryption, but not sure . When I get to the Pc I'll send the logs

I once had this problem and the reason as lembas pointed out was the keyboard layout that would change to eng fom italian.
So instead of writing the actual psswd I was writing something else..
Had this issue on several distros Trisquel included. In trisquel disabling ibus fixed the problem for me.
Note that I like english as system language for every software I use, but my keyboard has an italian layout..
It's an ibus bug, i've seen it reported somewhere, I had this issue with ubuntu. My system language is portuguese, I had a portuguese keyboard, but sometimes it booted with an en_US layout.
Indeed I too saw several posts dealing with keyboard issues both in the english and spanish forums and they were often related to ibus..
cheers
